The Company
Our client is a family-owned independent self-storage business. They provide accessible storage services in a purpose-built indoor self-storage facility, with a wide range of different sized storage units available. They are a very friendly, customer-focused service and subsequently some of their customers have been with them for a very long time. They have a number of different types of customers from residential, to business to non-profit organisations.
The Role
We are looking for someone to work part time in an Assistant role, covering Sundays, with one Sunday per month to be swapped for a weekday. If you have additional flexibility to cover the holidays of other staff members, that would be an advantage. After a training period, you will work on your own and your responsibilities will include opening and closing the self-store, dealing with enquiries, signing up new customers and selling packaging. This is a responsible role and you will be a keyholder to the business. Despite working alone, you will take part in regular team meetings and support will always be available to you on the end of the phone whilst working.
Hours – Sundays 10am to 4pm / Weekdays 8am to 6.30pm (1 weekday per month)
Additional Hours – Flexible to cover the holidays of other staff an advantage

Remuneration and Benefits
- Good rates of pay - above the national living wage - with annual review
- Time and a half rate for Sunday working
- Excellent bonus scheme (eligible after probation period) earning up to £2 per hour on top of basic pay rate, based on self store occupancy. Can also swap bonus pay for storage.
