Salary: £11.00 – £13.50 per hour based on experience
Part Time:  20 to 24 hours per week (can be flexible)

Our client is one of the UK’s largest suppliers of automatic gate and access control products to the trade sector. As a subsidiary branch of a global company, our client based in Newbury is growing at a fantastic rate and are looking for an experienced Technical Support Assistant.
Due to continued company growth, our client is seeking a Credit Controller to work alongside and complement their fun and friendly administration team.
The ideal candidate will be:

  • Self-motivated, forward thinking and with the desire to constantly improve our cash flow and exposure to aged debtors through professional and organised credit control procedures.
  • Strong work ethic with an excellent telephone manner and able to work accurately under pressure without compromising attention to detail.
  • Possess competent PC skills and the ability to maintain consistently high standards of work, with a willingness to contribute within a friendly, dynamic team environment.
  • Able to develop a friendly and commercially beneficial relationship with our customers and the account departments. With direct engagement with our customers you will monitor, review and manage account credit limits whilst predominantly chasing any monies owed to terms or occasional outside of strict terms.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Weekly review and management of our Aged Debtors report in accessing each account balance and chasing monies owed.
  • Answering phone calls and queries related to customers credit accounts.
  • Supplying trade references when required.
  • Processing customer payments and payment allocations with assistance from other admin staff.
  • Management and recording of promised payments and customer communication in relation to accounts.
  • Issuing first reminder, second reminder and final notices for overdue balances. Recording all communication.
  • Management of occasional court proceedings and third-party debt collection agencies for late payments.
  • Periodic credit limit review for all accounts based upon historical payment data and company exposure to bad debt.
