Stores Supervisor
Temp contract – end of September
Salary dependent on experience
Our client is looking for a Stores Supervisor on a temporary basis until the end of September to coordinate the Stores Team’s daily tasks. The successful candidate will also be supporting the Stores Manager in implementing and maintaining training, procedures and processes.
Job duties of the Stores Supervisor will include but not limited to:

  1. Supervision;
    • o Daily assessment of the workload, additional tasks and priorities of kits to ensure efficient consistent kit release.
    • o Delegation of workload to Stores Operatives.
    • o Keep the stores area maintained to a clean and organised level at all times.
  2. Stock Control;
    • o Investigation of stock discrepancies and control of component stock management over the department.
    • o Manage Stock Control of Consumables/Stationary within the Stores and Production areas.
    • o Maintain unique location system.
    • o Perform cycle counts.
  3. Training – responsibility to ensure the delivery of adequate training, for each required role, and cross train to improve flexibility.
  4. Continuous Improvement – of procedures and processes to improve efficiency, accuracy and consistency across the whole department.


  • Goods In booking time to be improved from an average 5:34 minutes per line to 5:00 minutes per line. (Scorecard)
  • Kitting time to be improved from an average of 7:20 minutes per line to 3:30 minutes per line. (Scorecard)
  • Kit Inspection to be maintained below 0:30 seconds per line. (Scorecard)
  • Daily – return completed kits to Stores by 08:30. (QF 1435)


  • A working knowledge of the types of electronic components and basic assembly knowledge.
  • Experience of working with MRP systems.
  • Good communication and reporting skills, both verbal and written.
  • Good level of IT literacy in Outlook and Excel and ability to learn new software as required.


  • Positive work ethic.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently under minimal supervision when required.
  • Ability to multitask effectively and work well under pressure.
  • Good reliability.
  • Flexibility of skills.
